As Receptionist, you are the communication hub of the community – and on the frontline of communicating our values to residents and families. This means: * Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere by greeting residents and visitors. * Performing a variety of administrative and support services in a professional, courteous, efficient and organized manner. * Answering phone calls and responding to requests from residents and visitors – along with other reception duties such as answering resident inquiries, receiving deliveries and organizing service requests. * Managing the residence driver’s schedule and handling any booking conflicts. * Scanning payable invoices and submitting them to appropriate managers for approval. * Responding to emergency calls and assisting with security issues. * Assisting with recreation programs and events. * Supporting Food Service, Housekeeping and other departments as requested. It takes a special kind of person to work here – does this sound like you? * You are an upbeat and engaged team member who brings positive energy to all that you do. * You have a Grade 12 education or equivalent, and at least two years of reception experience in a similar environment, with a strong focus on customer service. * You’re consistently professional and courteous; able to interact tactfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds. * You handle high-stress situations calmly, and are comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. * You have exceptionally strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher. Knowledge of other accounting, publishing and graphics software, such as Canva, would be an asset, too. * You have current First Aid and CPR certifications, along with WHMIS. FOODSAFE is an asset, as well. * You understand and respect the needs of seniors, their families, and the professionals engaged in their care. At PARC Retirement Living we require a Criminal Record Check, and a TB test within the first month of employment.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Grade 12 education and at least two years of reception experience in a similar environment. Strong computer skills and current First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS certifications are required.
