Administrative Assistant – Appeals & Hearings Seeking an Intermediate Administrative/Appeals Assistant to support the Appeals Commission and hearing operations in Calgary. Provide administrative support to Appeals Officers, Hearing Chairs, Vice Chairs, Commissioners and external parties. Coordinate pre-hearing administration, correspondence, appeal documents and document indexing. Support in-person, teleconference and video conference hearings, including scheduling and participant coordination. Attend hearings, manage recording requirements, troubleshoot technical/process issues and respond to participant inquiries. Maintain accurate appeal statuses, records and timelines within relevant systems. Prepare, format, proofread and quality-check hearing decisions and official documents for publication and distribution. Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills and excellent written/verbal communication are required. Experience with records/information management, information governance, privacy and security requirements is an asset. Experience working with the Canadian public-sector environments or WCB/workers’ compensation systems is highly relevant. Candidates should have 2+ years of relevant administrative experience, strong stakeholder coordination skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This is an onsite Calgary position, Monday–Friday, with standard hours of 8:00 AM–2:00 PM Alberta time.

Requirements

Candidates need at least two years of relevant administrative experience, strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to coordinate stakeholders and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with records management, information governance, privacy and security, Canadian public-sector environments, or workers’ compensation systems is an asset.
