About

We work with organizations that are trying to do this work properly, and can feel that something isn’t fully landing. Most of the time, there’s already been effort. Training, policies, conversations. And still, there’s a gap between what’s being said and what people are actually experiencing. That’s where we come in. SIM WENÁCW is an Indigenous women-led consulting and facilitation practice. We support organizations doing cultural safety, anti-racism, and accountability work in a way that is real, not just something that sits in language or one-time sessions. A lot of people start with us through workshops. That’s often where things begin to surface and where teams start to build a shared understanding of what’s actually happening. From there, the work can move in different directions. Sometimes it stays at the level of facilitation and team learning. Other times, it becomes leadership conversations, policy and systems work, or support around how decisions are being made and how accountability is actually carried across the organization. We also support openings and cultural grounding for events. That can include bringing in Elders, Knowledge Keepers, artists, facilitators, and others who are connected to the work. That part is always relational. It’s not something we treat as an add-on. It’s about making sure the right people are involved and that the space is held properly. We don’t do all of this alone. We work with a wider circle of people we trust, and we bring them in intentionally depending on what the work calls for. That might look like cultural workshops, ceremony, facilitation, or policy and systems support. Most of the organizations we work with are navigating something that doesn’t have a simple answer. There’s usually already been effort, and still a sense that things aren’t fully lining up. We’re not here to offer a quick fix. We’re here to help carry the work in a way that is grounded, relational, and actually felt.
