Role Summary The Office Administrator & Company Security Officer plays a key role in supporting Modern Niagara's security, compliance, and administrative operations. Acting as the designated Company Security Officer (CSO) under the federal Contract Security Program (CSP), this role oversees personnel security clearances, compliance requirements, and coordination with government security authorities while supporting Alternate Company Security Officers (ACSOs). In addition, the role provides administrative support to leadership, coordinates office initiatives, and supports corporate events and employee engagement activities. Success in this position requires strong organization, attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Impact / Purpose * Ensure compliance with Contract Security Program requirements and maintain Modern Niagara's security clearance obligations. * Support project teams, field operations, and ACSOs by providing guidance on security clearance and compliance requirements. * Deliver high-quality administrative, coordination, and office support services that contribute to organizational effectiveness and required clearances. Duties and Responsibilities Security & Compliance * Serve as Modern Niagara's designated Company Security Officer (CSO) under the Contract Security Program (CSP). * Maintain accountability for the organization's Facility Security Clearance (FSC). * Coordinate personnel security clearances, renewals, transfers, and upgrades. * Ensure Security Requirements Check Lists (SRCLs) and supporting documentation are completed and maintained. * Liaise with Public Services and Procurement Canada's Contract Security Program and other government security authorities. * Work closely with project teams, field staff, subcontractors, and union partners to support security clearance requirements. * Monitor compliance with security clearance obligations and contract security requirements. * Directly support and provide guidance to Alternate Company Security Officers (ACSOs) across multiple offices. * Act as a resource for security-related inquiries and compliance requirements. * Maintain security records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company and government requirements. Administrative & Corporate Support * Create internal communications, presentations, reports, and office notices. * Assist with office operations, vendor coordination, and workplace initiatives. * Maintain confidential files, records, and documentation. Corporate Events & Employee Engagement * Support the planning and execution of company-wide events including town halls, holiday celebrations, employee appreciation initiatives, and major sponsored events. * Support and coordinate vendors, logistics, communications, registrations, and event materials. * Assist leadership in delivering initiatives that support employee engagement and company culture. Must Haves * Active Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance. * Experience supporting security, compliance, administration, operations, or coordination functions. * Exceptional organizational and time management skills. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. * Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Ability to work independently while managing multiple competing priorities. * Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Nice to Haves * Experience working as a Company Security Officer (CSO) or Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO). * Experience with the Contract Security Program (CSP). * Experience working in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or government contracting environments. * Experience supporting corporate events or employee engagement initiatives. This is a new position. Expected annual compensation; $68,000 - $80,000.
