The Co-Operative Food
The Food Clerk is responsible for providing courteous customer service, stocking merchandise, and maintaining the store environment. Additional duties include performing receiving tasks, loss prevention, and operating the cash register.
Reporting to the Food Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following: 1. To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude. 2. To be dependable for all scheduled shifts. 3. To provide good courteous customer service. 4. To stock merchandise as per Saskatoon Co-op Policy and Procedures. 5. To perform housekeeping duties when required. 6. To perform receiving duties when required. 7. To adhere to all Saskatoon Co-op Policies and Procedures. 8. To operate and maintain equipment in a safe and responsible manner. 9. To perform opening and closing procedures. 10. To be responsible in the area of Loss prevention 11. To operate cash register as required. 12. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Must possess sufficient knowledge of grocery merchandise handled to effectively operate the section(s) assigned. * Must be familiar with all lines of merchandise handled by the department. * Must be strongly service-oriented and motivated and be capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner. * Physical ability to handle the work to be assigned. * Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. *a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
