Our nuclear business is growing fast, and our Hamilton team is growing with it. The Role We are looking for an HR Coordinator & Office Manager to be the welcoming face and organizing force of our Hamilton facility. You will greet every visitor who walks through our doors, keep the office running, and deliver HR, payroll, and safety programs for our Hamilton team. You will work closely with our Hamilton General Manager and report to our HR Business Partner. No two days are the same — one hour you are hosting a customer visit, the next you are onboarding a new welder or running a safety inspection. What You Will Do Run our reception desk: greet visitors, manage sign-in and safety briefings, and coordinate customer, auditor, and candidate visits. Manage the office — phones, mail, supplies, vendors, meeting rooms, and site events. Support recruiting: post jobs, schedule interviews and weld tests, and prepare offer letters. Make sure every new hire is onboarded well, from paperwork and ADP setup to orientation and safety training. Support payroll and benefits in ADP, and keep employee records accurate. Run local safety programs: WHMIS training, training records, JHSC meetings and inspections, drills, first aid, and incident reporting. Be the go-to HR contact for Hamilton employees and leaders. What You Bring 2–4 years of experience in HR administration, payroll, office administration, or a mix. Experience with an HRIS or payroll system, and strong Microsoft Office skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information. A warm, professional manner — you enjoy being the first person people meet. Nice to Have Experience with ADP payroll, or a PCP designation. Experience in manufacturing or skilled trades. JHSC or first aid certification. Post-secondary education in HR, business, or office administration. Why Hooper Benefits — health and dental coverage, RRSP matching, vacation A senior seat at the table in a company with more than 70 years of history and a strong growth plan. The chance to build HR programs from the ground up and see them take hold.
