We are looking for a legal administrative assistant to join our friendly and experienced litigation team. Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. This position is fully in office. Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000 Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Opening and closing files Organizing and filing both paper and electronic documents Reviewing incoming correspondence and preparing responses Editing legal documents under the direction of lawyers/paralegals Calendar management, including scheduling appointments, trials, examination for discoveries, and experts Assisting with trial preparation Updating Lists of Documents as directed Dictation Entering time sheets Performing other administrative responsibilities from file opening to closing Qualifications Must have at least 3 - 5 years of related work experience, in insurance defence. A graduate of a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant program (or other higher education qualification which is equivalent) A team player who can work independently and take initiative Strong working knowledge of court rules and procedures Strong communication skills both written and verbal Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of work under strict deadlines Technological proficiency in Microsoft office applications, as well as an ability to learn new software programs quickly Apply by submitting your resume and cover letter to our Human Resources Support, Rebecca Paterakis at [email protected] We thank all candidates for their interest; only those offered an interview will be contacted.
