Your Opportunity: As a member of the Payroll Operations Team, the Admin Support IV is responsible for providing payroll duties and support in a fast paced, challenging environment. This position manages Payroll-related cases from the HR Support Center and performs several Payroll processing activities that are important to successful pay processing for AHS' 140,000+ employee base. They will also provide ongoing training and mentoring to clerical and administrative team members. Work is performed independently; decisions, advice and recommendations are made based on established policies, programs, procedures, and guidelines. They have direct contact with employees, managers, other HR departments and third-party providers as part of payroll issue resolution. Incumbents must exercise judgment, discretion and independent decision making across a spectrum of activities that may include accounting, payroll and time reporting. Work requires incumbents to grasp and apply knowledge of programs, processes, and systems to carry out core duties and responsibilities. Contacts include internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of providing or gathering information pertaining to the administration of payroll. The incumbent will be a critical and analytical thinker with a strong customer focus and a desire to learn and advance in Payroll operations. Description: As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program. Additional Required Qualifications: National Payroll Institute (NPI) - Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification. 3-5 years previous Payroll experience (within the last 7 years). Preferred Qualifications: Previous PeopleSoft experience preferred. Previous experience in a unionized environment preferred. Proficient in MS Office suite, including Excel and Access or other databases.
