Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Virtual Medical Office Assistant to support our virtual clinic operations. You will play a key role in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and positive experience for both patients and healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities: * Schedule and manage virtual appointments through the Tia Health platform * Communicate with patients via phone, email, and secure messaging * Assist patients with joining virtual visits and troubleshooting minor technical issues * Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) * Verify insurance information and assist with billing tasks * Coordinate referrals, prescriptions, and lab requests * Provide administrative support to physicians during virtual clinic hours * Ensure compliance with Canadian privacy regulations (e.g., PHIPA) Qualifications: * Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting * Knowledge of medical terminology * Familiarity with EMR systems and telehealth platforms * Strong communication and organizational skills * Ability to work independently in a remote environment * High level of attention to detail and confidentiality Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in a virtual clinic or telehealth environment * Experience with OSCAR EMR (preferred) * Knowledge of Canadian healthcare systems and billing * Comfortable assisting patients with basic technical issues Work Schedule: * Full-time position * Standard hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (PST`) * Flexibility available for the right candidate Requirements: * Must reside in Canada * Reliable high-speed internet * Quiet, private workspace * Strong computer and digital literacy The salary for this position falls within a defined range and will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the needs of the organization.
