Tacoma Family Medicine is looking for a experienced Medical Office Assistant in Dartmouth NS We are looking for a candidate who has exceptional customer service skills; Answer Multi-line telephone and direct calls appropriately; Schedule Appointments; Prepare new client records in Electronic Medical Records system as required, retrieve records for previous patients, scan documentation into charts; Responding to requests as directed by physicians; Execute physician requests for referral by booking appointments, informing patients of appointment time and place, send referral letters and recording referrals; Ability to multi-task; Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records System - knowledge of the Med Access system will be considered and asset; Excellent computer skills; Other related duties as required; Qualifications: Completion of Medical Office Administration Diploma and a minimum of 1 -2 years previous experience in a medical office.
