Our client, a boutique business law firm in downtown Vancouver, is seeking a Corporate Legal Assistant to join their team. This is an integral role supporting 2–3 Corporate lawyers across both practice management and transactional work. Duties & Responsibilities Manage files from opening through closing, including client intake, compliance requirements, file maintenance, and archiving Coordinate lawyers’ calendars, meetings, deadlines, reminders, and follow-ups while keeping priorities on track Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and assist with day-to-day correspondence and inquiries Prepare, revise, and format corporate agreements, correspondence, forms, reports, spreadsheets, and other legal documents Support corporate transactions by coordinating signatures, organizing closing materials, preparing digital closing books, and assisting with trust documentation Conduct corporate, land title, and other searches through BC Online, LTSA, and related systems Manage billing administration, including WIP reviews, pre-bills, invoicing, and follow-up on outstanding accounts Assist with trust administration, expense reporting, and other practice-management requirements Provide vacation and overflow coverage for other Legal Assistants and occasional shared reception support Maintain a high level of organization across multiple matters while proactively identifying outstanding tasks and upcoming deadlines What We’re Looking For 2-5 years of Legal Assistant experience in a law firm Corporate/business law experience preferred Legal Administrative Assistant diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with legal document management, e-signature, comparison, and billing platforms Detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive with excellent judgment and the ability to manage competing priorities Compensation & Benefits $50,000–$75,000, based on experience and qualifications Performance and referral bonuses Comprehensive, largely employer-paid health coverage Health spending account, wellness reimbursement, and RRSP/TFSA matching
