Position Overview: The Medical Office Assistant will report to the Medical Director and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients, as well as providing support to physicians and medical staff. Responsibilities: Answering phones, greeting, and registering patients Provide panel management support to physicians Responding to patient enquiries in person and by phone Initiating forms and collecting payment for services not covered by insurance Escorting patients to exam or treatment rooms and preparing patients for physician Cleaning and preparing exam and treatment rooms between patient visits Performing diagnostic testing as ordered by the physician including urinalysis Taking patient vitals as ordered by the physician Scheduling new and existing patients for appointments Scanning patient documents into electronic medical records as required Performing other duties as assigned Skills and Experience: Medical Office Assistant Certification Recent MOA experience Experience with Electronic Medical Records, Healthquest is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Problem solving skills Must be able to handle confidential information in compliance with the Health Information Act Work Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada for the duration of employment. Parsons Park Medical Clinic does not provide immigration sponsorship or support for work permit applications.
