Summary We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant/Law Clerk specialising in litigation to join our team in Etobicoke, Ontario. This permanent, full-time position is essential for supporting our legal professionals in managing case files and ensuring the smooth operation of our litigation processes. The ideal candidate will possess mid-level experience in a legal environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal support. Responsibilities Assist lawyers in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organising case files and documentation. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards. Manage and maintain case management systems, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accessible. Manage litigation calendars and deadlines. Liaise with clients, lawyers, and court personnel to facilitate communication and information exchange. Prepare and file court documents in accordance with court rules and deadlines. Assist in discovery process and in the preparation of trials. Qualifications A minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal assistant or law clerk role, preferably within litigation. Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation. Proficient in legal research tools and case management software. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
