Administrative Assistant – Pharmacy Operations Peterborough, Ontario Full-Time | Permanent | On-Site MediFlex Talent Solutions is recruiting on behalf of an established pharmacy in the Peterborough area seeking an organized, dependable and customer-focused Administrative Assistant – Pharmacy Operations to join their team. You do not need to come from a traditional pharmacy background to be considered. We are interested in candidates with strong administrative, medical office, healthcare support, retail or customer service experience who are comfortable working in a busy environment where organization, accuracy and patient service matter. The Opportunity You will work closely with the pharmacy team to support the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the pharmacy while helping provide a positive experience for patients. Responsibilities will include: Providing professional and friendly service to patients in person and by telephone Answering calls and directing inquiries to the appropriate member of the pharmacy team Entering and maintaining accurate patient and prescription-related information Supporting prescription workflow and administrative documentation Filing, scanning and maintaining confidential pharmacy records Assisting with the organization of compliance and blister packaging Supporting inventory management and stock organization Helping monitor medication and supply levels Supporting pharmacy automation and packaging processes Maintaining an organized and efficient work environment Assisting pharmacists and other team members with day-to-day pharmacy operations Following established privacy, confidentiality and pharmacy procedures What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is organized, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You may be a strong fit if you have: Previous administrative, reception, medical office, healthcare, retail or customer service experience Strong computer and data-entry skills Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational and communication skills The ability to manage multiple priorities A professional and patient-focused approach Comfort handling confidential information A willingness to learn new systems and processes A positive and collaborative attitude Previous pharmacy experience is an asset, but is not required. Experience with Kroll, SynMed, blister packaging or other pharmacy systems would be considered an advantage.
