Lawson Lundell LLP is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Environmental, Indigenous and Regulatory Litigation (EIRL) practice group in our Vancouver office. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly regarded team known for its sophisticated legal work, collaborative environment, and diverse client base. This role has a significant focus on client billing and financial administration, with approximately 50% of the position dedicated to billing-related responsibilities. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional attention to detail, strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, confidence working with numbers, and exceptional organizational skills, and enjoys contributing as a valued member of a high-performing team. The regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Standard Responsibilities Preparing, reviewing, and processing time entry and client billing (approximately 50% of the role) Preparing legal correspondence and other documents File maintenance and management Opening/closing client matters Preparing expense reports Maintaining an efficient file management and bring-forward system Maintaining a full calendar, email management and managing the lawyer's practice Liaising with legal assistants, paralegals, lawyers and clients on file progress General administrative duties, as required Qualifications Legal Administrative Assistant certification from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role is an asset Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to work confidently with numbers and perform arithmetic calculations Previous experience working as a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant is required Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and solve problems in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a collegial team Strong organizational and time management skills Demonstrates exceptional customer service with a professional, mature, and courteous approach Highly dependable and adaptable, with a strong work ethic Excellent interpersonal skills Strong verbal and written English communication skills The typical salary range for this position is $59,000 to $65,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.
