This term position would be an excellent opportunity to get professional, on the job training for a valuable and essential role supporting the RCAF. JOB OVERVIEW The Technical Records Clerk reports to the Maintenance Planner and is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the aircraft technical records. This position requires a higher than average level of accuracy as well as proficiency in data entry, research and analysis, and administrative support. Experience preferred but specific training in Southport and other provinces will be provided. Specific Responsibility: * Updates for all aircraft engines and prop logs * Updates for all Component History Cards * Maintain Technical Library (updates, circulations, filing, etc.) * Data entry of the following information into company systems: 1. Aircraft airtimes & cycles from journey log books 2. Inspections 3. Removal and installation of components 4. Defects 5. Update Airworthiness Reports on components Research & Analysis: * Technical Dispatch 1. Audit journey logs daily for accuracy, defects, and serviceability 2. Prepare aircraft dispatch list 3. Prepare fleet status report and forward to select personnel 4. Update fleet status information Administrative Support * Ensuring requested documents are prepared and delivered in a timely manner Customer Service * Respond to Aircraft mechanics, pilots, and students’ questions and requests in a timely, professional, and effective manner JOB REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge &Skills * Grade 12 diploma * Technical Records, Accounting, or Business Administration training is an asset * Previous work experience in an aviation and/or parts environment would be an asset * Demonstrated high level of accuracy and attention to detail * Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with MS Office Suite * Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Works and Government Services Enhanced Reliability Clearance. * Willing to travel to Kelowna for training if necessary Personal Attributes * Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities * Highly flexible and adaptable with the ability to respond effectively in a dynamic environment * High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability * Critical thinker * Effective time management and able to assess priorities * Exceptional ability to focus and minimize distractions * Professional and respectful * Works well within a team as well as independently * Contributes to positive workplace culture HOURS OF WORK * Must be able to work a rotational shift: * 5:30 am -2:00 pm * 10:00 am – 6:30 pm * Must be able to work overtime as required.
