Why this role is important? Reporting to the Store Development Specialist, the Merchandising Crew Associate is responsible for executing merchandising for capital projects and store requests in accordance with approved planograms, merchandising standards, and marketing directives. Key Responsibilities Maintain planogram databases and report any discrepancies. Execute merchandising according to approved planograms, shelf heights, and Shoppers Drug Mart merchandising standards. Complete daily administrative tasks, including email management, missing material reports, In Store Web (ISW), Fl!p updates, required and optional Academy training, and the accurate submission of timesheets and expense reports. Report any issues related to planogram or fixture implementation to the Store Development Specialist and the Planogram Team. Review Merchandising Asset List (MAL) orders and New Store Kit (NSK) checklists, report discrepancies, and recommend improvements when appropriate. Deliver an exceptional customer experience by minimizing disruptions and ensuring customers can shop safely throughout construction projects. During renovations and expansions, relocate and organize merchandise safely using portable Dexion units when required. Label sections with MMS labels and ESL in accordance with current merchandising standards. Identify and remove expired, outdated, or damaged products. Receive, verify, and record merchandise as required. Build seasonal and end displays according to In Store Web merchandising directives. During store relocations, transfer inventory safely while following Loss Prevention policies and procedures. Notify the Store Development Specialist of any planned time off and record it in Workday as soon as possible. Travel within and outside the assigned region as required. Eligible travel, accommodation, and meal expenses are reimbursed in accordance with company policies. Maintain high service levels by minimizing out-of-stocks and reporting any merchandising irregularities. Participate in project and site meetings. Provide regular project progress updates to the Store Development Specialist. Embrace and promote our Blue Culture and B3 Learnings in daily work. Submit complete expense reports with detailed receipts, including hotel charges billed to the corporate card. Skills & Qualifications Valid driver's license. Ability to travel up to 150 km (one way) in a single day. Availability for overnight travel when projects are located more than 150 km away or when same-day travel is not practical or safe. Reliable personal vehicle. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational requirements. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering excellent service. Collaborative team player with leadership abilities. Team members may be required to act as Project Lead when needed. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness and ability to learn Shoppers Drug Mart systems, processes, and procedures. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, OneDrive), Academy, email, and other systems required for the role is an asset. Bilingual (English and French) to support operations in Quebec and the Atlantic region. Retail merchandising or retail operations experience is considered an asset. High school diploma or equivalent.
