Based in Montreal and reporting to the Vice-President of Construction, the Project Coordinator – Construction provides active support to the Project Manager in the operational, technical, and administrative management of construction projects. The Project Coordinator acts as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects while respecting timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Participate in project planning and coordinate the various stages of project execution. Assist with the development of project schedules, budget tracking, and resource planning. Prepare all required documentation for project start-ups (checklists, regulatory documentation, etc.). Provide daily construction site follow-up in collaboration with site superintendents and field teams. Coordinate deliveries, material orders, and work execution with subcontractors. Monitor project progress in accordance with plans and specifications, and participate in managing non-conformities. Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project professionals. Participate in coordination meetings and prepare meeting minutes. Ensure thorough follow-up of change requests, site instructions, and change orders. Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including plans, permits, site reports, meeting minutes, and other project records. Prepare calls for tender, analyze bids, and participate in contract negotiations. Collaborate with the administrative department for invoice processing and approvals. Qualifications Strong understanding of the construction process, including plans, specifications, estimating, and construction site logistics. Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, or equivalent software). Ability to interpret technical plans and specifications. Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in construction project coordination. Knowledge of the Quebec Building Code and occupational health and safety standards (CNESST).
