About the role

Position: DC Administrator

Location: Kelowna, BC

Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

The DC Administrator is responsible for setting up daily order picker zones and actively monitoring replenishment orders to ensure all shipments meet required cut-off times. This role plays a critical part in adjusting resources, managing order flow, and making time-sensitive decisions to keep operations on schedule. A key priority of this position is ensuring all quick pick orders are completed within 15 minutes of appearing on the dashboard. We got you covered! Accurately count the assigned count sheets daily, Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found during counts. Accurately input count data into the inventory management system and maintain comprehensive records of counted items. Effectively communicate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless inventory management. Work closely with the Receiving Supervisor, Returns Manager and Put away Supervisors to address any procedures not being followed that caused inventory to be out of balance are addressed with their staff. Work closely with the Put Away, Quick Pick and Replen Supervisors to ensure product is stored in numerical order within each pick location. Assist in preparing the warehouse for internal or external audits by ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with procedures. While counting, ensure items on the pick shelf are presented to the picker in the selling UOM and can be scanned. Inspect the condition of items during counting to ensure they meet quality standards and report any damaged or defective items to the appropriate department. Identify and suggest improvements in the cycle counting process to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory control. Clean up and organize the bin location that you count. IE: Remove pallet wrap, strapping, empty cartons and plastic. Look for any unsafe practices or work areas and report them to a Safety Committee member. Keep current with product knowledge. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required. Help re-label racking with new bin locations. Help with moving product to the new bin locations. Obtain 100% accuracy in counting product in the correct location. Report any items that do not scan to the Receiving Supervisor. Always keep the warehouse safe, organized and tidy. Do you fit the part? At least 1 year warehouse RF inventory counting experience. Familiar with RF scanners, Conveyor systems, auto parts and bin locations Must be willing to work as a member of a team and be flexible in undertaking a variety of duties that will contribute to the success of the organization. Requires the ability to work with basic computer applications. Good math skills and attention to details Solid understanding of health and safety regulations. Requires the ability to be organized, multitask and solve problems. Ability to lift items up to 50lbs. Steel-toe shoes are required.
