Project Site Coordinator Toronto, ON

Position Overview We are seeking a Site Coordinator with previous work experience in construction. The candidate must demonstrate a solid understanding of overall project administration for General Contracting and Construction Management projects. Under the general supervision of the Project Manager and Project Superintendent, the Project Coordinator will assist in project tendering and contract/project administration either in the office or on site.
Responsibilities: Assists in planning, scheduling and executing construction activities including supervision of crews and equipment Prepares and updates work schedules and completion timelines Assists in preparing and administering tender documents Prepares correspondence with project partners for review by supervisor Maintains up-to-date plans, specifications, cost and materials estimates, subcontracts and reports Coordinates the procurement of construction materials ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of purchase orders Provides technical assistance to Superintendents Creates various site and office reports at the request of the Project Manager and/or Superintendent Prepares payment certificates, final payment certificates and all extra-work orders for review as per contract Processes time sheets for payroll and cost control purposes Maintains job diaries, site photos and proper site documentation May be required to supervise and coordinate work on site Assist the project team in the preparation of scopes of work Assists in estimating duties as required Such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by his/her Supervisor Ensure projects meet Accel’s goals for safety, quality, budget, schedule as well as profitability Establish and foster strong business relationships with Accel’s clients and ensure the highest level of satisfaction Provide information to the Site Supervisor, Project Management and Administrators to efficiently execute a project Establish and maintain an excellent relationship with subcontractors and suppliers
Qualifications: Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management Degree Minimum two (2) years work experience in the construction industry Excellent team and communication skills with ability to lead teams Solid understanding of specifications, construction methods and procedures Knowledge of key principles involved in project administration Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.), Jonas Premier
