How you will make an impact: You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing.
As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will:
- Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents rooms and common areas.
- Assist with set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing, laundry and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
- Maintaining clean public areas such as washrooms, hallways, dining room, removing garbage and recycling.
- Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management
- Be the first point of contact for the community, answering the phone, responding to resident medical emergencies. Co-ordinating with emergency services 911 as neccessary.
About you:
- You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
- Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
- Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
