Job Description 2–3 days per week | Weekend availability required | Squamish, BC The Valley Living is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented person to join our team as a Part-Time Store & Operations Manager.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for someone who loves retail, beautiful products and creating a great in-store experience — but who also thrives on organization, systems and making sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. You’ll spend your days working directly with customers, processing sales and helping maintain the shop, while also taking ownership of key operational responsibilities.

What you’ll be doing: Providing warm, knowledgeable customer service and helping customers find the right products Processing sales and transactions through our Shopify POS Maintaining a beautiful, welcoming and well-merchandised shop Managing staff scheduling and coordinating coverage Entering and managing purchase orders Receiving, organizing and tracking incoming orders Managing inventory and maintaining accurate stock levels Ordering shop and operational supplies Keeping the shop, back stock and storage areas organized Supporting merchandising, product launches and seasonal shop changes Identifying operational gaps and finding better ways of doing things Helping create and implement systems that keep the shop organized and efficient Taking ownership of day-to-day shop needs and ensuring things get followed through

Who we’re looking for: You’re naturally organized, extremely detail-oriented and someone who genuinely likes keeping things in order. You’re also a people person. You enjoy talking with customers, have strong communication skills and understand that creating a great experience is just as important as making the sale. You have an eye for design, beautiful products and thoughtful merchandising. You notice the details — whether that’s something out of place on the shop floor, an inventory discrepancy or an order that needs following up on. Most importantly, you’re proactive. You don’t need a list of tasks handed to you every shift. You notice what needs attention, take initiative and follow things through. Previous retail experience is important, and experience with store management, inventory, purchasing or Shopify/POS systems would be a strong asset.

Compensation: $22–$25/hour, based on experience. We’re looking for the right person to grow into this role, with the opportunity for increased responsibility and compensation over time.

Qualifications 2+ years of retail or customer service experience preferred Previous keyholder, supervisory or retail management experience is an asset Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Confident working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities Comfortable working directly with customers and processing sales through a POS system Experience with Shopify POS, inventory management or purchase orders is an asset Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable with basic computer systems, spreadsheets and learning new programs Strong visual eye with an appreciation for design, merchandising and beautiful products Proactive problem-solver who can identify opportunities and implement better ways of doing things Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks without constant direction Reliable and able to follow tasks through from start to finish Must be available to work weekends
