Role and context
The Billing Technician is responsible for preparing, validating, and issuing customer invoices in accordance with commercial agreements. This role ensures billing accuracy and works closely with internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
Record accounting entries in the general ledger Assist with bank account reconciliations Process invoices, payments, and receipts Prepare periodic reports for the finance team Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes Verify the accuracy of accounting data and resolve discrepancies Apply internal financial control policies Collaborate with payroll, purchasing, and budget control teams Participate in improving accounting processes Ensure required documents are properly filed and archived

Specific Job Requirements
Diploma in accounting, finance, or administration, or equivalent experience 2 to 4 years of experience in general accounting Proficiency with accounting software (Sage, Acomba, or equivalent) Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong proficiency in Excel and other office software Ability to meet tight deadlines Experience in a regulated industry (transportation or aviation) is considered an asset Proficiency in French is required for this position
