We are currently accepting applications for a permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) Administrative Assistant to join our team at our Child Development Centre location. This position is based on a 10.25 month annual schedule with a start date of August 20, 2026, for our 2026-2027 school year.

Key Responsibilities: Provide clerical and administrative support to the ECS Programs and Community Services Department by: Setting up and maintaining agency files, staff files and children’s files (filing assessments, memos and reports, etc.). Ordering and organizing stationary supplies for the location. Performing general office duties such as filing, faxing photocopying and scanning Maintaining all office machines including ordering supplies as needed, calling for maintenance when required, etc. Entering, maintaining, and updating various office documents in our database Other clerical duties as assigned. Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately. Answer, screen, and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed. Respond in a timely many to calls from bus drivers. Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access (screen and provide identification tags to all individuals coming into the school, maintain sign in/out record for staff and visitors). Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including courier deliveries (inspect and sign for incoming deliveries, forward incoming packing/delivery slips to Purchasing/Accounting. For outgoing courier services, prepare waybill and call for pick up, maintain file of outgoing courier slips). Coordinate room bookings. Handle client inquiries that come in by email and phone

Qualifications: Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Office Administration, or related studies and/or combination of education and office experience, may be considered. At least 1 to 2 years recent experience working in an office environment Excellent computer skills, MS Word, Excel and Outlook Proficient with data entry and working with various databases Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Good problem-solving and trouble shooting skills.

Pre-Requisite Security Clearance Documentation: Successful candidates must provide us with a valid ‘Calgary Police Check with Vulnerable Sector’ dated within 3 months prior to their start date ‘Intervention Record Check through Alberta Child Services’ is also required, however, we can support you with completing this during your onboarding
