Annual Report Author
The Junior Farmers’ Association of Ontario (JFAO) is a non-profit organization that provides strong programming for Ontario’s young rural leaders. JFAO is looking for a creative individual to fill the position of Annual Report Author to develop and create the 2024 Annual Report. The Annual Report for JFAO provides a snapshot of the organization’s activities that happened across the province during the year. The purpose of this report is to communicate to JFAO members and community partners how local Junior Farmer clubs, provincial projects, and events, have met the organization’s goal of Building Leaders, Building Communities.
Duties Include
Design the format or utilize an existing template for the Annual Report Collect reports and content from local clubs, provincial executive members, and committees Add pictures submitted by clubs and committees throughout the report Edit reports for spelling, grammar, and clarity Coordinate with the Past President to integrate sponsor content and advertisements in accordance with the Sponsorship Agreements already in place Ensure that all clubs are represented throughout the report Provide regular updates to the JFAO executive as requested Meet communicated timelines for the draft and final copy Ensure a final Word and PDF copy of the report is presented to the Past President by the determined deadline to ensure time for printing Other related duties as required/specified during the contract
Compensation
The honorarium for this position will be $250, which will be paid following the Executive’s approval of the final report by the end of March

Approximately 12-16 hours to complete the project with a larger number of hours at the beginning of March when the report is being finalized Contract period is November 2024 to March 2025

Effective project management and communication skills Be proactive and highly organized Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Canva Creative Attention to detail Strong spelling and grammar skills

About Junior Farmers Association Of Ontario
For nearly 75 years, JFAO has played an important role in the development of leaders – most visibly in the rural and agricultural sector.
Founded in 1944, with clubs local clubs founded in 1914; The Junior Farmers Association of Ontario is a youth leadership development organization. Junior Farmers (JFAO) welcomes anyone between the ages of 15 and 29 as of January 1. Members tend to be rural youth, but contrary to our name many of us are not farmers, and by the time we finish the program, we’re not all that junior! Members come from all walks of life, occupations and backgrounds. JFAO provides opportunities for young people of all backgrounds, but especially those in rural Ontario, to take on the challenge of exploring their individual talents and potential to develop personally while being involved in improving their communities, networking, and having fun.
Members are guided by the motto “Self Help and Community Betterment”, and the mission “to build future rural leaders through self help and community betterment,” as they conduct positive social and educational activities which satisfy their personal needs and interests while conducting service projects which meet the needs of their community.
Programs and opportunities provided by JFAO and its affiliated clubs help to develop in members a sense of social and environmental responsibility, the ability to provide effective leadership, and an awareness of good citizenship within the community and world around them.
