Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented LMIA Processing Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and passionate about delivering excellent service while supporting employers throughout the LMIA process. The Senior RCIC is responsible for developing the case strategy and overseeing each file. In this role, you will execute that strategy by preparing accurate, compliant, and high-quality applications, ensuring every case is managed efficiently from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities · Assess employer eligibility and collect all required documentation to support LMIA applications. · Draft and review job advertisements, recruitment summaries, and employer supporting documents in accordance with applicable guidelines. · Manage Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) files from initial client intake through submission and post-submission follow-up. · Prepare and review LMIA application packages, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with current program requirements. · Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) cap calculation methodology and its application to Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications. · Communicate with employers regarding application requirements, updates, and requests for additional information. · Track application deadlines, processing timelines, and file progress to ensure timely submissions and responses. · Conduct quality assurance reviews of all documentation before submission. · Maintain accurate electronic and physical client records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. · Stay current with LMIA requirements and employer compliance obligations. · Collaborate with immigration consultants and other team members to support efficient case management and deliver exceptional client service. · Assist with post-decision matters, including responding to procedural fairness requests, employer inquiries, and file updates when required.

Qualifications Previous experience preparing and processing Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications is required. Candidates with relevant experience at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) or other federal or provincial government departments responsible for immigration are strongly encouraged to apply. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of files and work independently in a fast-paced environment is a must. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively prioritizing competing deadlines. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and work autonomously while collaborating effectively with the broader team.
