Parkland Nursery & Landscape Services (PNLS) is a third generation nursery with 500 acres of trees; one could say we have really put our roots down in Red Deer, Alberta. Dad jokes aside, we are a progressive nursery growing premium grade trees to ship all across Western Canada and we need to add to our core team. The ideal candidate will have strong clerical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in various office software. This role involves managing daily administrative tasks, providing exceptional administrative support to the rest of the team, and ensuring smooth office workflows. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where organizational skills and attention to detail are highly valued.

This successful team member?s duties and responsibilities will include:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inter office document management
• Assisting with safety program documentation
• Assisting with data entry of inventory
• Submitting and preparing for utility locates
• Assisting with quote and bid documentation
• Grant application and documentation
• Answering phones and taking messages
• Assisting in procuring office supplies
• Providing clerical support for all positions at PNLS
• Any other administrative duties as needed from time to time.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Proficiency in the following software applications: Word, Excel, Outlook
• Experience in inventory data input is an asset but not a requirement.
• Experience in Canva software is an asset but not a requirement.
• Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with other team members and customers.
• Strong time management skills to optimize efficiency with a strong attention to detail while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to anticipate challenges and critically think while also able to effectively problem solve.

With the right candidate this opportunity could be either full time seasonal or full time year round. Must be committed to working in a safe work environment. Workdays are Monday ? Friday. Position is available immediately.
