Contract Administrator

Help Us Launch One of Carlson’s Newest Projects from Day One

The Role

Are you someone who catches the details others miss? Do you thrive on keeping contracts organized, risks minimized, and projects moving forward seamlessly?

Carlson Construction Group is looking for a Contract Administrator to support one of our newest projects launching in North Vancouver. This role is ideal for a proactive self-starter who is excited about building processes from the ground up and becoming a trusted commercial support partner to the project team.

This is your opportunity to join a project at its earliest stage, contribute to shaping how it operates, and ensure strong commercial and contractual performance throughout.

What You’ll Be Doing

Contract Administration & Support

  • Review, interpret, and administer a variety of contracts (subcontracts, service agreements, NDAs, and procurement contracts)
  • Assist with contract drafting, revisions, and maintaining standardized templates
  • Support the project team with contract execution and administration throughout the lifecycle

Tender & Project Coordination

  • Track tender opportunities and key submission deadlines
  • Maintain logs of active, pending, and awarded contracts, including milestones and deliverables

Document Control

  • Maintain organized and audit-ready contract documentation
  • Ensure strong version control and easy retrieval of commercial records

Insurance & Bonding

  • Coordinate insurance and bonding requirements for projects
  • Track renewals and ensure compliance with contractual obligations

Administrative & Stakeholder Support

  • Support contract negotiations and communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and updates for project leadership
  • Assist in resolving contractual issues and supporting claims/disputes as needed

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Monitor compliance with contractual requirements and company policies
  • Identify risks early and escalate appropriately
  • Support mitigation strategies and resolution plans

Process Improvement

  • Help develop and refine contract administration processes for a new project site
  • Enhance templates, workflows, and documentation practices

Who You Are

You are detail-oriented, organized, and dependable—someone who takes ownership and keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of contract administration experience, preferably in construction
  • Familiarity with CCDC, CCA, and service agreements
  • Understanding of contract terms, insurance, bonding, and compliance requirements
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder relationship skills
  • Proactive problem-solver with high attention to detail

Why This Role Is Special

This is not a typical contract administration role—you will be joining a brand-new North Vancouver project and helping establish how it operates from day one.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Support exciting marine and infrastructure projects
  • Build and improve processes on a new project site
  • Work closely with a collaborative and experienced commercial team
  • Have direct visibility and impact on project success
  • Grow your career within a respected, family-owned BC company

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary: $75,000 – $90,000
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Bonus eligibility
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
  • Exposure to complex and unique construction projects
  • Ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development
