Position Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Clerk 1/Receptionist to support daily front-office operations in a busy client-facing environment. This role serves as one of the first points of contact for clients, staff, and visitors, requiring excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills. The successful candidate will perform a variety of standardized clerical and reception duties with a strong emphasis on accuracy, professionalism, and customer service under direct supervision.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Greet clients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner Answer and direct incoming phone calls and walk-in inquiries Operate a multi-line switchboard/telephone system Provide front-desk reception and administrative support Prepare, type, and file correspondence and office documents Maintain organized filing systems and records Assist with application processing and related documentation Order office supplies and maintain inventory for office equipment Distribute and deliver inter-office mail Support general clerical and administrative tasks as required
Qualifications & Requirements
Grade XI education plus related clerical/reception experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general office equipment Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
