Role Description The Front Desk Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON. This position is responsible for greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, and serving as the first point of contact for customers entering the showroom. Daily tasks include managing the reception area, scheduling and coordinating customer appointments, handling basic inquiries about products and services, and directing customers to sales staff as needed. The role also involves performing clerical duties such as managing mail, maintaining records, updating customer information, and assisting with basic administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the store. The receptionist collaborates closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure a welcoming, organized, and professional front-of-house experience.
Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working a fast paced and detail oriented environment Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working on-site full time in Toronto, ON Proficient phone etiquette and receptionist duties, including answering, routing, and recording messages accurately and efficiently. Clerical skills such as basic data entry, filing, scheduling, handling mail, and maintaining organized front desk and administrative records. Ability to multitask in a busy showroom environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail. Basic computer proficiency with common office software (e.g., email, calendars, spreadsheets, point-of-sale or CRM systems is an asset). Previous experience in a front desk, retail, or customer-facing role preferred, especially in home décor or flooring environments. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with a diverse range of customers and team members.
