Surface Land Analyst

THE POSITION
Keyera is seeking a Surface Land Analyst to join our Land team. This role supports the administration of third‑party agreements and helps enable safe, compliant activity around Keyera’s infrastructure, including work governed by the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) . The successful candidate will manage a range of requests with limited supervision, coordinate across internal stakeholders and field representatives, and contribute to ongoing improvements in processes, templates, and documentation standards.
RESPONSIBILITES

Monitor and manage the thirdpartylandrequests@keyera.com inbox, ensuring timely review and response to incoming requests.

Review and coordinate third‑party submissions for proposed activities near Keyera assets, including more complex requests associated with CER -regulated facilities (e.g., crossings, encroachments, and construction notifications).

Coordinate approvals with Keyera’s field representatives to support safe and compliant operations.

Track third‑party conditions, approvals, and correspondence to support ongoing compliance, including documentation required under CER expectations.

Prepare and issue standard third‑party agreements.

Manage the road use billing process, including tracking, invoicing support, and reconciliation.

Track agreement status and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in land management systems.

Communicate requirements, conditions, and timelines to third parties and internal stakeholders.

Share knowledge and collaborate with team members on third‑party agreement processes, documentation quality, and CER -related requirements.

Support continuous improvement of templates, workflows, and tracking tools.

Contribute to a culture of collaboration, accuracy, and operational excellence within the Land team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Seven (7) plus years of surface land administration experience, including significant experience administering third‑party agreements.
- Related post‑secondary education in Petroleum Land Administration or a comparable discipline.
- Experience supporting work governed by the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) , including the ability to independently manage third‑party crossing/encroachment requests, construction notifications, and associated compliance documentation/records.
- Working knowledge of surface land procedures, industry practices, and relevant legislation/regulatory requirements (including an understanding of documentation discipline and audit readiness).
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with land management systems and standard office software.
- Strong organizational and administrative capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
