We also work with justice partners and the community to develop policies and programs that address the needs of crime victims. We provide the victim, spouse, or relative, with information, support and assistance as their case moves through the criminal justice system. When criminal charges are laid, victims and family members can contact us directly for help. We provide a range of services including the following programs: Provincial Victim Services Program, Child Victim/Witness Program, Criminal Injuries Counselling Program, Victim Impact Statement Program, Restitution Program, Sexual Offense Legal Representation Program, and Independent Legal Advice Program.<br></span></span></span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>About Our Opportunity</b></H2></div><div><p><span style=""><span style=""><br>As the Family Information Liaison Unit Coordinator (FILUCC), you are responsible for the administration and delivery of programs and services within the Provincial Victim Services Program to families of Missing and Murdered Indigenous people in Nova Scotia. Responsibilities include maintaining an effective communication network with Justice, community and government officials at the regional, provincial, territorial, and federal level, liaison with the Nova Scotia Native Women's Association (NSNWA), coordinating enhanced services for families of Missing and Murdered Indigenous people within the criminal justice system and the community and providing navigational support, interpreting and communicating court processes and decisions to aid in understanding, monitoring and recommending intervention strategies to address identified gaps in service, monitoring and evaluating services, developing effective intervention strategies to meet the specialized needs of families of Missing and Murdered Indigenous people.
