Role Description The Buyer is a full-time, on-site role based in Canada and is responsible for supporting efficient procurement operations. In this position, the Buyer sources and evaluates suppliers, requests and reviews quotations, and negotiates pricing, terms, and delivery schedules for materials, components, and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating with production, engineering, and R&D to ensure timely availability of parts and materials. The Buyer tracks supplier performance, resolves delivery or quality issues, and maintains accurate purchasing records and documentation in relevant systems. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to optimize costs, support new product development, and align purchasing activities with company quality and regulatory standards is central to this role. Qualifications Strong procurement and supply chain skills, including supplier sourcing, quotation analysis, cost negotiation, and purchase order management. Experience with inventory control, demand planning, and coordination with production or manufacturing teams. Proficiency in using ERP or MRP systems, spreadsheets, and other purchasing-related software tools. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical or electro-mechanical components, and quality standards relevant to mobility or medical devices (asset). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams. Post-secondary education in supply chain management, procurement, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Relevant certifications in purchasing or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, SCMP, APICS) are considered an advantage. Ability to work on-site in Canada and comply with applicable health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
