Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Truck Dispatcher to coordinate and manage freight operations within our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling, tracking, and communicating with drivers and clients to ensure timely delivery of shipments. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting supply chain efficiency and transportation management. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, proficiency with transportation management systems, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Duties

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities for freight shipments, ensuring optimal routing and scheduling.
• Utilize transportation management systems such as SyteLine and AS400 to input data, track shipments, and generate reports.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette.
• Manage shipping & receiving documentation, ensuring accuracy in data entry and compliance with company policies.
• Analyze freight data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within the supply chain.
• Monitor shipment statuses, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with 3PL providers and internal departments to coordinate logistics operations seamlessly.
• Maintain organized records of shipments, deliveries, and related documentation for audit purposes.

Requirements

• Proven experience with transportation management systems such as SyteLine, AS400, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures.
• Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficient in typing and managing multi-line phone systems.
• Analytical skills to interpret shipping data and optimize dispatch operations.
• Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette for interacting with drivers, clients, and team members.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Experience working within a 3PL or logistics environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail necessary for accurate recordkeeping. This position is integral to maintaining efficient freight operations and supporting our commitment to excellent customer service through effective dispatch management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
