This competition is to fill one (1) permanent position. It will establish a12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.

Your role

The Records Indexer is responsible for managing and maintaining records in accordance with corporate standards, ensuring files are properly organized, indexed, and easily retrievable. It includes assessing records to determine their status and appropriate handling, coordinating file transfers such as offsite storage and resident transitions, and supporting the implementation of records management programs in new facilities. The role also provides guidance and training to promote effective records management practices and encourage shared accountability across teams.

Essential Qualifications

Post-secondary coursework/certification in business administration, office administration, or other related fields Experience working with confidential information and filing Experience with data entry (speed and accuracy) Significant experience using Microsoft Excel Knowledge of Health and Social Services programs and services and record management systems is an asset.

Candidates who have education training, and/or experience equivalent to the above qualifications maybe equally considered.

Job Requirements

This job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:

Work is performed in a normal office environment, travelling to various Continuing Care locations in Whitehorse, lifting up to 25 lbs, exposure to dust and other contaminants, extensive computer use, and involves working in tiring positions for extended periods of time.
