About the role
The hourly wage rate for this position is $22 . Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are looking for a customer-focused and adaptable Food Service Associate & Reception Coverage to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for delivering exceptional food service while providing reception coverage as needed. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a professional corporate environment, has excellent communication skills, and is comfortable balancing hospitality and administrative responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
FOOD SERVICE
Prepare and serve food and beverages for meetings, events, and daily hospitality services. Set up, replenish, and maintain coffee stations, pantries, and meeting rooms. Ensure food presentation meets company standards. Receive, organize, and store deliveries. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of servery, kitchenettes and service areas multiple times a day. Assist with catering setup, service, and event execution. Follow all food safety and workplace health and safety procedures. Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables. Participate in weekly and monthly deep cleaning of the servery and kitchenettes. Overseeing inventory and assit in weekly ordering.
RECEPTION COVERAGE
Provide reception coverage during breaks, vacation, or other scheduled absences. Welcome and assist clients, visitors, and employees in a professional manner. Answer and direct incoming phone calls. Manage meeting room bookings and visitor registrations. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries. Perform general administrative and office support duties as required.
Qualifications
At least 1 year experience in food service, hospitality, or catering is a must. At least 1 year of receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience is a must. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize. Professional appearance and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Serving It right is an asset. Food Safe Level 1 certification is an asset.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Comfortable performing both hospitality and administrative duties throughout the day.
