Position Overview A growing retail franchise organization is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its Legal & Compliance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with experience supporting commercial operations, contract management, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to manage legal documentation, support franchise operations, and ensure compliance with applicable legislation.

Roles and Responsibilities Draft, review, and maintain commercial contracts, franchise agreements, leases, and supplier agreements. Conduct legal research and assist with regulatory compliance initiatives. Prepare legal correspondence, notices, and corporate documentation. Coordinate litigation files and liaise with external legal counsel when required. Support franchise transactions, renewals, transfers, dispute resolution, and compliance matters. Maintain corporate records, legal files, and confidential documentation.

Qualifications Diploma in Paralegal Studies or a related legal qualification; a bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field is considered an asset. 3–5 years of experience in a legal, corporate, or commercial environment. Experience with commercial contracts, corporate law, franchise law, real estate, or employment law is preferred. Strong legal research, contract drafting, analytical, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management software. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
