Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Area Manager to oversee the daily operations of multiple commercial cleaning sites. This role is critical to maintaining high service standards, supporting site teams, and serving as the primary point of contact between the company and its clients.
The Area Manager will play a key role in managing new and existing accounts, including conducting site visits, training staff, and supporting the onboarding and setup of newly awarded contracts. Responsibilities also include performing regular quality inspections, assisting with dispenser installations, and addressing any service discrepancies or deficiencies in a timely manner. A strong focus on client relations and operational excellence is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations at assigned commercial sites, ensuring cleaning standards and client expectations are consistently met
- Conduct routine site inspections and quality audits
- Support, coach, and train on-site staff in daily operations, staffing, and performance management as needed
- Assist with onboarding and setup of new client accounts and contracts
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and clients, addressing concerns and providing regular updates
- Review, approve, and manage employee timesheets
- Submit and coordinate work orders for routine and additional client-requested services
- Inspect and maintain equipment, arrange repairs, and order necessary cleaning supplies
- Prepare and submit client invoices
- Coordinate with internal teams regarding open tickets, equipment repairs, and operational updates
- Monitor site budgets, track expenses, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines
- Conduct site visits during after-hours or non-standard shifts as required to support operations and ensure quality
- Travel extensively across the GTA and Central Ontario to manage multiple locations effectively
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning management is required; supervisory or multi-site, client-facing experience is an asset
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and de-escalate issues effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Professional, client-focused approach with strong communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within the GTA and Central Ontario
