POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to theParts Manager, the Parts Coordinator is responsible for receiving, sourcing, and processing all parts orders for non‑Crown equipment. This role provides support to customers, technicians, and internal teams by researching vendors, placing orders, managing incoming shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation. The parts Coordinator also assists with departmental training, inventory tasks, and contributes to overall parts operations efficiency.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Receive parts orders for competitive equipment from customers, technicians, and parts vans.
- Research vendors to determine the best available sources for purchasing required parts.
- Order parts as needed and process weekly stock orders for non‑Crown equipment represented by the branch.
- Provide backup coverage for Customer Service Representatives on phone and radio orders.
- Match vendor invoices with purchase orders and parts requisitions.
- Receive incoming vendor shipments and commit parts to the appropriate orders.
- Accurately code vendor payables for processing.
- Assist in training and coaching Customer Service Representatives and other department staff to ensure adherence to procedures.
- Conduct van inventory reconciliations and perform minimum/maximum stock level calculations when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
KNOW HOW & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma required
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Experience working in a warehouse or other physically demanding environment is an asset
- Ability to safely operate lift trucks (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Good binocular vision; ability to distinguish colors is preferred
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role requiring continuous standing, walking, and movement throughout the shift
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials (up to 30 lbs), and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 150 lbs
- Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, and reaching above shoulder height and below knee level
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise
