About the role

Some of what you will do:

The Manager, Corporate Office Operations is responsible for the overall performance, experience, and operational management of Staples Canada’s Corporate Head Office. This role ensures that the office environment is operationally efficient, aligned to hybrid workplace strategies, well-maintained, and supportive of employee experience and corporate culture. The role leads facilities operations, move management, workplace planning, and event execution in close collaboration with Internal Communications, HR, and external vendor 

 

 

Specifically, You Will: 

  • Lead Office Operations — “Lead, coach, and develop direct reports” while ensuring service standards, timely responses, and smooth day‑to‑day building operations.

  • Manage Facilities & Vendors — Oversee maintenance, janitorial services, vendor performance, and support sourcing/RFP processes.

  • Coordinate Workplace Planning — Lead space planning, seating plans, move management, and furniture procurement in partnership with HR and EAs.

  • Support Events & Collaboration — Coordinate facilities support for corporate events, town halls, catering, and ensure proper execution.

  • Ensure Safety & Compliance — Oversee access control, visitor management, safety standards, and emergency protocols.

 

Physical Environment/Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with on-site coordination

  • Occasional lifting and movement of materials

  • Flexibility for events outside standard hours

 

Some of what you need:

  • 4-6 years in corporate facilities or workplace operations

  • 2–3 years leadership experience

  • Post-secondary education in business, facilities management, or related field preferred

  • Strong knowledge of corporate facilities operations, workplace services, and space planning.

  • Experience with move management, event coordination, and vendor oversight.

  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with HR, Internal Communications, IT, and vendors.

  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast‑paced, hybrid workplace.
