Join us, this is where your career story takes off. Overview of role: WestJet is seeking a Coordinator to join our awesome Human Resource Business Partnering (HRBP) team for a 12 month term. This individual must demonstrate a high standard of excellence, exceptional technological aptitude, and a passion for working with systems, data, and process improvement. We are looking for someone who is highly proficient with software applications, comfortable learning new technologies, and confident navigating HR systems and reporting tools. Experience with HRIS platforms, particularly Dayforce, would be considered a significant asset. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities. This role requires someone who is comfortable navigating a complex and dynamic organization, balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders, and adapting quickly as priorities shift. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to effectively coordinate across a broad range of teams and partners. The Business Partner Coordinator serves as the central conduit for key Human Resource Business Partnering activities, including HR reporting and analytics, HRIS data maintenance, file and document management, Leader Hub administration, permanent accommodation coordination, and rehire checks. This role acts as the first point of contact for tactical and administrative work within the Business Partnering team and requires strong technical capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset. Key Deliverables Include: Maintaining a central intake process and distribution of general inquiries into the Business Partnering team Being the central player with the position management module of our HRIS and associated HRIS administration Maintaining HRIS data integrity and supporting system-driven HR processes and workflows Supporting the Business Partnering team with the creation of letters, SharePoint content, and employee file maintenance Assisting HRBPs in the review of Leader Hub content, providing feedback to respective teams and ensuring content remains relevant, accurate, and aligned to leader needs Developing and reviewing HRBP team processes and documentation related to performance management, terminations, investigations, and various employee relations activities Supporting Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) and Permanent Accommodation placement coordination; working with Employee Health, Talent Acquisition, and HRBPs on skill assessments, resumes, introduction letters, and successful placement activities Reporting, tracking, maintaining, and distributing a variety of human resource data, metrics, and reporting Ensuring all human resource templates, documentation, and records are current, accurate, and appropriately filed Demonstrating strong knowledge of company policies and procedures Working collaboratively with stakeholders including wider People team colleagues, Legal, Corporate Security, Labour Relations, Communications and business leaders, as required Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, documentation, reporting, and team efficiencies through technology and continuous improvement Experience and Qualifications: Human Resources certificate, diploma, or degree 3–5 years of Human Resources experience Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint Demonstrated experience working with HR systems (HRIS), employee data management, reporting, and system-driven processes Experience with Dayforce HRIS is highly desirable and considered a strong asset Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and leverage new software, systems, and technologies Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and successfully manage the needs of multiple stakeholders while balancing competing demands and deadlines Knowledge of WestJet company policies, guidelines, and practices is an asset Experience with performance and ability management Proven ability to plan, develop, document, and facilitate meetings with exceptional attention to detail Able to deal with stressful situations and perform steadily under pressure CPHR designation, or working toward this, is considered an asset Canadian Labour Code experience and knowledge is an asset Proven ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal guests High degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, and sound judgment Team player who works collaboratively to ensure team goals are met or exceeded The benefits of being a WestJetter: WestJet provides all WestJetters with a competitive total rewards package.
