About Us Options Community Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering social services across the Southern Fraser region — Surrey, Delta, White Rock and Langley — from early childhood to seniors. Our programs rely on collaborative relationships with individuals, businesses, community groups and government bodies to create focused, effective and responsive resources for the community.
About the Role Reporting to the Budget Manager and working closely with the Executive Director/CFO, you'll support the preparation of operating and capital budgets, executive financial reports, Board and Finance Committee reporting packages, and strategic financial presentations. You'll play a key role in organizational decision-making by helping prepare memorandums and presentation materials for senior leadership, the Finance Committee, and the Board of Directors.
What You'll Do Support the development of PowerPoint presentations, financial highlights, and performance indicators Contribute to strategic financial analysis that informs planning, reporting, and organizational initiatives Coordinate budget submissions and conduct general ledger reconciliations Ensure compliance with organizational policies Foster strong stakeholder relationships to enhance understanding of budget processes
What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field — or a two-year accounting diploma or equivalent (equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered) Proven experience as a Finance Coordinator or in a similar role, with at least two years in financial accounting — preferably within a not-for-profit multi-service organization Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Proven time management, analytical, and organizational abilities Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Proficiency in financial modeling and reporting, particularly Microsoft Office and Sage 300 ERP (Arcori PM knowledge a plus) Demonstrated teamwork, plus the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks Experience preparing complex financial reports and conducting trend analysis Familiarity with non-profit budgeting processes is an asset
Conditions of Employment This role requires a Police Information Check (PIC) and a Vulnerable Sector Check through the Ministry of Justice.
