About the role
Overview: As part of the Department of Community & Leisure Services, the City of Humboldt is currently seeking to fill two (2) seasonal, casual Arena Attendant positions to begin September 1st, 2026. The position is anticipated to last until the end of April 2027 and will consist of mainly evening and weekend shifts. Reporting to the Arena Supervisor, the Arena Attendant will ensure that participants of the recreation facilities have a safe and enjoyable experience. The positions primary tasks include: Assisting with on-ice maintenance activities including moving nets, ice monitoring and assisting with other maintenance tasks. Custodial tasks including cleaning dressing rooms, washrooms, spectator seating, arena glass, vacuuming entrances, and other custodial duties. Attending to user requests, as necessary. Assisting with event set up and take down. Removal of recycling and garbage. Assisting with minor repairs to the facility. Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age Valid Class 5 driver’s license Satisfactory Criminal Record Check Compensation: This is an in-scope (union) position with the rate of pay of $19.69/hour. City of Humboldt employees enjoy a free Leisure Pass which allows access to City Programming, the Fitness Room, and Drop-In Sports.
