Role Description The FD Coordinator is a full-time, hybrid role based in Calgary, AB, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the time. The FD Coordinator is responsible for supporting fundraising and donor engagement activities, including planning and coordinating community events, campaigns, and initiatives that align with Islamic Relief Canada’s mission and values. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing logistics for fundraising programs, liaising with volunteers and local partners, maintaining accurate records and data in fundraising systems, and assisting with donor communication and stewardship. The role involves preparing reports and materials to support fundraising strategies, ensuring timely follow-up with donors, and collaborating with internal teams to promote initiatives through appropriate channels. The FD Coordinator is expected to uphold organizational standards, represent Islamic Relief Canada professionally in the community, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment. Qualifications Experience in fundraising coordination, event planning, or community engagement, with the ability to manage logistics, timelines, and stakeholder relationships. Strong organizational and administrative skills, including data entry, record-keeping, and proficiency with office software (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, CRM tools). Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, donor correspondence, and outreach materials tailored to diverse audiences. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision, while managing multiple tasks and deadlines. Understanding of and alignment with Islamic Relief Canada’s mission and values, and sensitivity to working with diverse communities and faith-based contexts. Beneficial qualifications include experience in the nonprofit or charitable sector, familiarity with fundraising best practices, and knowledge of the local community in Calgary, AB. Relevant post-secondary education in fundraising, nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
