POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Parts Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring proper inventory control practices, and supporting quality control processes. This role also supports accounts payable functions related to parts by reconciling purchase orders, processing vendor invoices, and ensuring accurate system records. The Parts Inventory Control Clerk provides support to customers, technicians, and internal teams while contributing to overall parts operations efficiency.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Perform cycle counts and stockroom inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and movement of parts within the inventory system.
  • Process incoming parts by assigning correct stockroom locations.
  • Process parts being returned to stock following established procedures.
  • Prepare inventory and reconciliation reports as required.
  • Receive parts orders from customers, technicians, and parts vans.
  • Order parts as needed and assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
  • Match vendor invoices with purchase orders and parts requisitions.
  • Receive incoming vendor shipments and commit parts to the appropriate orders.
  • Accurately code vendor payables for accounts payable processing.
  • Perform billing for parts sales and reconcile related transactions, including van inventory reconciliation and minimum/maximum stock level maintenance.
  • Provide backup coverage for Customer Service Representatives on phone and radio orders.
  • Assist with general departmental support and perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOW HOW & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma required
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Experience working in a warehouse or other physically demanding environment is an asset
  • Ability to safely operate lift trucks
  • Good binocular vision and the ability to distinguish colors
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding role requiring continuous standing, walking, and movement throughout the shift
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 30 lbs, and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 150 lbs
  • Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level and below knee level, and work with arms outstretched or above chest level
  • Comfortable working in environments with exposure to temperature variations, dust, solvents, fuels, battery acid, and noise
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of inventory or parts systems
