About the role

Job Title: Crossdock Specialist (Overnight) Department: Operations Reports to: Operations Manager Location: On-Site Mississauga Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 + annual performance-based bonus

Please Note: This is a full-time overnight role, working Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently during overnight hours.

Position Summary The Cross Dock Specialist keeps our overnight operations running smoothly, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of inbound and outbound shipments during critical off-peak hours.

Working Tuesday to Saturday from midnight to 8 AM and partnering closely with an admin teammate, this role is essential for maintaining real-time data accuracy, clear communication with multiple cross dock locations, and seamless shift transitions.

Every night, the Cross Dock Specialist helps set the stage for a successful day ahead by keeping shipments organized, documentation flawless, and operational standards high.

Key Accountabilities Execute cross dock operational activities during the overnight shift by: Processing inbound shipments accurately using scanning and BOL procedures Confirming inbound deliveries with other cross dock locations and updating internal tracking systems Managing and entering shipment data (FNA, missed pickups, arrivals) with a focus on real-time accuracy Handling pre-arrival processing of incoming freight and preparing documentation for the next day

Support operational reliability and communication by: Collaborating with the overnight admin to problem-solve, escalate issues, and ensure operational continuity Participating in detailed shift handovers and maintaining up-to-date documentation for the day team Keeping all records and logs accurate, organized, and accessible for audit and team review Engaging carriers, internal teams, and other cross docks with timely information and follow-ups

Knowledge & Experience 3+ years of experience in a dock, warehouse, or transportation operations environment Solid data entry and documentation experience, with obsessive attention to accuracy Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, employing a methodical and analytical approach to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively Comfortable scanning and processing BOLs and shipping documents Confident using Excel, Google Sheets, and transportation management software Clear written and verbal communication skills Proven track record of reliability, accountability, and success working non-traditional or overnight shifts
