Where You’ll Add Value

This role is primary responsible for maintaining the flow of inquiries received, and for providing administrative support to the office to ensure that a superior level of co-operation, service and support is provided to residents, ensuring that Morguard is the landlord of choice.

How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Ensures that a superior level of co-operation, service and support is provided to residents, thereby ensuring that Morguard is a landlord of choice
  • Maintains good resident-landlord relations
  • Greets all customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring eye contact and a welcoming smile
  • Responds to resident inquiries regarding their account, lease or other general queries. Escalates to the Regional Administrator where appropriate
  • Ensures every customer is addressed, assisted and directed to the right department
  • Answers the telephone as per Morguard standards and responds to incoming inquiries in a professional, friendly manner
  • Exhibits enthusiasm when interacting with customers, vendors, and all staff
  • Ensures all areas of the office are maintained in a professional and clean manner
  • Manages all aspects of incoming and outgoing mail, including coordination of couriers (incoming & outgoing) and date stamps all received documentation.
  • Processes resident payments of rent, parking and any other additional fees
  • Ensures ROD is complete and free from errors
  • Ensures customers are directed to the right person or department
  • Other Administrative duties as assigned

The Expertise You’ll Bring

  • Completion of High School or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year of experience in an office environment at a busy reception desk
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience in a customer service role would be an asset
  • Exposure to the Property Management Industry would an asset

  • A demonstrated high degree of integrity, diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • A professional demeanor with strong communication skills
  • Ability to speak other languages is considered an asset.
  • Actively championing diversity, equity and inclusion to create an environment of belonging

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience with Yardi would be an asset
