Warehouse & Inventory Control Assistant (Production Area)
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Warehouse & Inventory Control Assistant is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting material movements within the production area, and ensuring timely replenishment of production materials. This role plays a key part in keeping our manufacturing operations running efficiently while maintaining high standards of inventory control and workplace organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, verify, and organize raw materials and production components.
- Issue materials to production according to work orders and production schedules.
- Perform daily inventory transactions using the ERP/MRP system.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and traceable.
- Support production by delivering materials to the appropriate workstations.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse and production storage area.
- Assist with inbound and outbound material movements.
- Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
- Follow company policies, GMP requirements, and health and safety procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field is an asset.
- 1–3 years of warehouse, inventory control, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
