POSITION SUMMARY: As the NCG coordinator, the candidate will be responsible for monitoring the domestic linehaul system (both air and ground) for the country to ensure service levels are met at minimal cost. Provide contingency planning direction to stations as required ( ie mechanical delays, weather disruptions etc)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Daily data entry for air linehaul tenders/recoveries for the country (must have high accuracy rate for all entries in the system) Air supplier followup related to service and cost (carrier delay reports) Posting of service alerts to report service exceptions or major delays to the network Commercial air linehaul bookings Commercial carrier rate maintenance Review air invoices and ensure all discrepancies actioned and corrected Prepare various daily prealerts, reports for scheduled network movements Various projects as assigned Order and sent out fuel cards to branches Prepare holiday plans and changes to the network Request tracing from air carrier for missing shipments Build and remove ground linehaul routes using online Nutronix program Tracking Ground linehauls and provide updates to terminals Work with Hubs and branches to book loads with carriers as well as coordinate contingency moves for breakdowns Coordinate trailer repairs on overnight Ground Network with repair partners Tracking Ontime performance for Carriers with regards to service failures Various projects as assigned Review and monitor Driver’s Hours of Service (HOS) on Electronic Logbook devices (ELD) Bill and track rail containers
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years industry related experience (air / ground linehaul) Computer skills to include Excel, Office, Outlook also previous exposure to Flight comm., FlightAware, Flight Explorer, Cargo Portal tools an asset Must be able to work under pressure situations with minimal supervision to ensure deadlines are achieved while maintaining composure Excellent problem solving skills Strong knowledge of Canadian Geography Flexibility to work various shifts as required to cover during vacation absence Excellent interpersonal/ communication skills (both verbal and written)
