Reporting to the Subcontract Manager, the Purchaser will play a key role within the Procurement team, supporting supplier management across the full procurement lifecycle. This includes building strong supplier relationships, managing quoting activities, overseeing purchasing processes, and expediting materials to meet operational needs. Responsibilities Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while managing quoting, system setup, purchase order creation, order tracking, ongoing communication, and issue resolution throughout the procurement process. Material Expediting: Partner closely with project teams to proactively expedite materials and ensure project timelines and delivery commitments are met. Documentation: Maintain clear, accurate, and well‑organized records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor communications. Cross‑Functional Communication: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address and resolve procurement‑ or delivery‑related questions and challenges. Team Support: Provide administrative and project support to the Procurement team, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as needed. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in supply chain or logistics, with a focus on supplier sourcing and material procurement. Proven ability to manage a high volume of suppliers and purchasing requests in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated financial, procurement, and overall business acumen, with the ability to make sound purchasing decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and reporting tools. Security Requirements All candidates must be eligible to apply for and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
